“I’ve been playing and working with beads since I was seven years old and when I moved to Cyprus in 1997,
I found that there were no shops to cater for my passion. I began thinking of setting up a bead business three years ago, initially with the idea of selling ready made jewelry. But as I chatted to people about my plans I soon realized that customers would like to make their own. I sell a mixture of ready made pieces all designed and made by me, raw materials and alongside running workshops.” |

Workshop Beads’ workshop with jewelry making sessions held for two hours every Wednesday at 4pm. I’m fully booked every week, well in advance. I request a 8,50 euros booking fee due to the high demand, but refund this back and only charge for the materials that people use. I start sessions by placing a couple of very simple designs on the table, and take the process stage by stage according to what the group wishes to make. The actual making is a fairly quick process, and it is the design preparation that takes the time. I let people experiment and it’s amazing to see what’s created.” Even when you live abroad and you come to Cyprus for a holiday, you can book for a workshop by sending me an e-mail. |
